You are invited to register for the Society for Text & Discourse's Thirty-Fifth Annual Meeting in Padua, Italy from July 9-11, 2025. The conference will be held at the Psychology and Language Center of the University of Padua.

THE DEADLINE FOR EARLY REGISTRATION IS MAY 31.

Registration fees will increase after May 31.

Instructions

To register, click the register button at the bottom left of the conference registration page to initiate the process. Members of ST&D should first login to their account before registering. To join ST&D as a member and receive preferential registration rates, visit https://societyfortextanddiscourse.wildapricot.org/ prior to registering.

Remote Attendance: You have the option to register for remote attendance. Remote attendance will include access to submit, view, and comment on other remote presentations, and to access recordings of select presentations from the conference. Please note that if your submission has been accepted for an in-person spoken or poster session, at least one author must attend in person.

Optional Events (choose after your registration type)

Early Career Social Event (opt-in): On Wednesday evening, there will be a complimentary special event dedicated to PhD students, postdocs, and young researchers, where participants can enjoy the famous Italian aperitif known as Spritz. In order to get an accurate head count, we ask that you opt in to this event if interested.

Thursday Dinner (add-on): A social dinner will be held on Thursday evening after the poster session (8:30 pm). This dinner will be held at the historic restaurant "Zairo" located in one of the most famous and enchanting squares of Padua, called Prato della Valle. The cost for the dinner is 48 Euros ($55 USD).

Mentorship Program

Early career attendees (students, post-docs, early career faculty) are eligible to apply for our mentorship program which pairs early-career members with more experienced faculty for a luncheon meeting on the first day of the conference. Interested registrants should click here to to apply.
